We have a tried and tested diagnostic tool underpinning this framework, which lets us quickly and effectively baseline current operations and identify key focus areas for improvement. We have successfully applied this methodology to target improvements within discrete operational teams, through to using it for entreprise-wide business reviews and the development of new operating models.
We are experienced at delivering change on the ground. We bring in-depth technical design skills, but our implementation approach focuses equally on building Lean skills, capabilities and infrastructure to ensure that any operational improvements are fully embedded and sustained.

Top Source has a proven track record in organisational redesign. We have developed new operating models for clients across Housing, Financial Services, Charities, and Outsourcing. We know that successful organisational design needs a team that is suitably experienced and credible to be able to work with senior leaders effectively and engage stakeholders in a sensitive and nuanced way.
We have a proven method for organisational redesign. We ensure there is a robust, evidence-based assessment of the current state, a clear set of expectations for when and how stakeholders will engage, and that clear and robust structures for decision-making are agreed early. Our experience in this area means that we can comfortably work with leaders to listen, reflect and iterate in a way that depersonalises what can often be sensitive decisions.
All Top Source associates are experienced in organisational design, but Laura has also personally led on executive redesign on behalf of top tier consulting firms and has worked with a number of high-profile leadership teams.
Transformation and change
Top Source has extensive experience of leading large, multi-million transformation programmes. Our approach to change management is to support leadership teams in building the skills necessary to fully embed changes. We do this through a combination of training, coaching and observational feedback.
All of our associates have extensive experience in leading programmes at scale, including invaluable firsthand experience leading in-house transformation teams.
Top Source can also comfortably apply our knowledge of operations improvement and business transformation to a sales environment. Our associates have experience setting up and leading teams of solution architects, as well as redesigning business development functions. With deep experience in support services, we have successfully helped to win outsourcing contracts ranging in value from £10-100m.

At Top Source Consulting, we believe that effective training and development is best achieved through practical application. We use the 70-20-10 model for learning and development. This model holds that individuals obtain 70 percent of their knowledge from practical experiences, 20 percent from interactions with others, and 10 percent from formal educational events.
Using world class training materials, paired with applied coaching and observational feedback, Top Source Consulting can help you to establish an in-house improvement team or further develop your operations managers. We partner with Changewise to deliver LCS-accredited Lean training, meaning your team can become LCS qualified. We build skills and deliver cultural change through ‘bite-size’ courses for operational managers on topics such as Change Management, Lean Leadership, Performance Management, Quality Management and Continuous Improvement. These can be provided as part of a Lean transformation, or as a standalone management development offering.
